It was my first time to prepare Morcon. I replaced tomato sauce with something else and we liked it!

Saturday Night… Hubby and I decided to have a date. BF Homes is where I grew up… the peaceful village back then was transformed into a commercial one full of restaurants… Japanese Restaurants are one of them. We love authentic Japanese foods. This is our second time to visit Hotaru Restaurant. It’s a small place along Aguirre Ave. in BF Homes that offers authentic Jap. food at an affordable price. They only have 4 (4-seater) tables and a 4-seater bar. Guests are mostly Japanese… you could hear them talking too. The ambiance is almost the same as the one I see in movies. =) Too bad they don’t have tuna sashimi and maki. =( We ordered Agedashi Tofu (P90/ 3pcs.), Miso Ramen (P150 to share), Salmon Maki (P190/ 8pcs.) and Mix Tempura (P250). We were soooo full and satisfied. Great Night! =)

Aside from Japanese food, we both love Thai cuisine. Yesterday, we were at the Mall of Asia, looking for a good and new place to eat… and we bumped in to Soi Thai Restaurant.

Considering that it was Valentine’s day, the service was fast and the food was still hot. The ambiance was nice but the space is quite small. We ordered our ever favorite Shrimp Phad Thai (P288 good for 2). Then we added Seafood Curry (P288) and one serving of Crab meat Rice (P188). The free appetizer was yummy too: Fried Wanton (wrapper) and spicy peanuts. And since it was Valentine’s Day, I get to have a free Sala Shake, crushed ice with red syrup (no picture, sorry) =)

Great food but no so pricey. Thumbs Up! =)Click Here!
